Costumes rules
We love for people to come in costume—especially art-related costumes!—but we also have some strict rules, with no exceptions. The following are NOT allowed on site:

• Weapons (real or toy) including but notlimited to guns, swords, bows and arrows, staffs, clubs, and axes.
• Costume accessories larger than 15 inches, including but not limited to wings, canes, tools, umbrellas.
These items should be left at home or in the patrons’ vehicles. We do have limited space behind the front desk for those who need to check in items.
• Masks

Security has the right to deny entry to any costumes that may damage artwork.

Remember to renew your membership before the event for faster check in! You can check your membership status online or on the HoMA App.

ADMISSION

Museum members: Admission is free for museum members. You do not need a ticket. For a speedy entry, use your digital member card in the HoMA mobile app—or check in at the event through the members’ line.

Non-members: General admission is $25. You can purchase tickets at the event, or online using the button below. Or for just $5 more you can join or renew a membership to get into ARTafterDARK for free all year.

Tickets are non-refundable.

TimeStoppers 360: stop by Kinau Courtyard to immortalize your 2018 Halloween costume!

Costume contest, hosted by Emcee Sean Douglas Hoban: Is your disguise to die for? Our ARTafterDARK committee members will be walking around, handing out golden tickets to their favorite costumes throughout the night. At 8pm, finalists will strut their stuff across the stage in Central Courtyard and those with the best male, female, couple or group, and CarnEVIL costumes will win HoMA goody bags full of tricks and treats!

Visit the iichiko Bar in Palm Courtyard for a frightfully good cocktail and some fun photo activities.

AGEafterDARK

A reminder that although ARTafterDARK doesn’t have an age restriction, the event is loud, crowded, and there is no specific programming for children. Children should be supervised at all times.

PARKafterDARK

You can find parking at the following locations:

• Street parking on Beretania and Kina‘u streets from 6pm. FREE
• Lot behind the Honolulu Museum of Art School (1111 Victoria St.), enter from Beretania or Young Street. Lot closes promptly at 11pm.
