Looking for a responsive, trustworthy, and professional bar service for your event? You’ve found them! I was desperate to find a mobile bar service for an out-of-the-ordinary event — a "celebration of life” dinner following a funeral service. My family lives in Hawaii, but I’m a special events director in the SF Bay Area and wasn’t familiar with Hawaii vendors. I was seriously disappointed with almost every vendor I contacted for this event — every company (roughly 15 total) either took forever to respond to me (or simply didn’t); sent me limited or completely unhelpful information; or were unbelievably overpriced. I’ve never had such difficulty pulling together an event in the ten years I’ve done this — and it didn’t help that I was grieving over an unexpected loss. However, the ONE ray-of-light in this planning experience came from Derrick of Free Spirits Hawaii. He responded to me immediately, and gave me quick, thorough, and prompt information. He provided creative ideas, great drink suggestions, and was extremely helpful and responsive at every turn. If I were planning an event wedding or gala on Oahu, I would not hesitate to contact Free Spirits Hawaii. This is a company that takes their job (and your needs) seriously which, I learned through this process, is a rare find.
From the moment we met with Free Spirits Hawaii we knew we wanted them to be our bartenders for our wedding. Derrick and his team are incredible and professional. We told him what type of wedding we were having, what type of drinks we wanted and he worked with us to make our ideas possible. The service they provided exceeded our expectations and everyone loved the Mai Tais and Strawberry Peach Sangrias!
The employees are always professional, courteous, and skilled at crafting specialty cocktails. I was extremely impressed with their attention to detail and how the entire team seemed to be perfectly in sync throughout the event. From setup to last call, everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about creating an exceptional guest experience. The presentation was top-notch, and they went above and beyond to accommodate special requests without missing a beat. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for any event big or small.

What a fantastic company! My work takes me to a lot of social events around the island, and if there’s ever a bar, these guys are the ones running it. Great at what they do professional, personable, and consistently on point. From upscale galas to backyard get-togethers, they bring the same energy and top-tier service every single time. You can tell they truly care about creating an experience, not just pouring drinks.
If you need bartenders I definitely recommend FSMB. They're quick to respond to emails and very affordable compared to other mobile bartenders. Our first meeting was with Matt he's down to earth and easy going and we were looking forward to working with him and his partner on our big day. We decided on having two specialty drinks and set up a meeting day so that they could make the drinks for us and have us sample them. When the time came to meet up we also got to meet his partner Derrick who was also very laid back. I'm not a drinker and find it very hard to like most drinks. The two cocktails that they made were so good I wanted more. Everyone loved it at the wedding too. Awesome bartenders to work with along with their cocktails. If you need cocktail idea I'd recommend their sweet and sour (Jalepeno vodka with pineapple juice and lime) and their yuzu mojito.

1. Do You Provide Alcohol?

2. Do You Offer a Suggested Alcohol Shopping List Calculator?
Absolutely. Whether you’re sourcing your own alcohol or using our services, we’ll help calculate exactly how much liquor, wine, beer, and champagne you’ll need based on guest count.
3. Can You Make Signature Cocktails for My Event?
Yes! We’re happy to help you select themed or signature cocktails to fit your occasion. Your bartender(s) will arrive prepared to craft these drinks and we’ll even provide a custom shopping list tailored to your guest count.

4. What Will You Bring to My Event?
No matter the package you choose, we provide essential tools unless you choose to supply your own: wine key, bottle openers, spill mats, pour spouts, cocktail shakers, ice bucket & scoop, cutting board, and knife.
5. Do You Provide Ice, Cups, Mixers, and Other Bar Items?
Yes we offer add on items to our quotes ranging from bartender-only to fully stocked, all-inclusive service. You may supply your own items or let us handle it all.
6. What Does Your Bar Setup Look Like?
Our standard setup includes a 6-ft bar table with fitted linen and dual drink stations (for 1–2 bartenders). Available linen colors: black & white. Extra Bar Setup Fee: $150 per bar

7. Will My Bartender Arrive Early?
Yes. Bartenders arrive 60–90 minutes before your scheduled service time for setup—this setup time is included in your booked service hours. (1 hr setup fee)
8. How Do You Staff My Event?
Our hiring process includes rigorous vetting and tech-driven matching. We have pick of some of the best local talent. Your assigned bartender has minimum 2yrs of service experience and will arrive clean, prompt, and professional.
9. What Island Do You Provide Services?
We primarily serve the island of Oahu. We have done outer island events in the past including Maui, Kaui and Big Island.

10. Are Your Bartenders Certified?
Yes. All bartenders are certified via TIPS, ServSafe®, ABC, or a state-equivalent program and usually carry a Honolulu Liquor card. These are alcohol handling certifications for the state of Hawai’i.
11. Do You Have Insurance?
Yes, we carry General Liability, Liquor Liability (up to $2M), and Workers’ Comp. We can name your venue or clubhouse as additional insured on the COI for a fee of $150.
12. What Affects the Cost of Bartending Services?
Pricing is based on guest count, number of service hours, travel distance and any selected add-ons or upgrades.
13. How Do I Pay the Deposit?
We require a 30% non refundable deposit to book. Pay securely online via Stripe (credit/debit). The remaining balance is due on or before the start of your event. Cash, Check or Charge available. (2.7% cc surcharge fees apply)
14. What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
Deposits and payments are non-refundable but fully transferable as a event credit for one year. You can apply it to a rescheduled or future event.

15. What If My Bartender Doesn’t Show?
We maintain on call staff for every event. We have yet to miss a scheduled event til this day. In the rare occasion of an emergency, your full payment will be refunded the same day.
