Two kinds of west side events
Resort weekends and hometown parties
Ko Olina draws destination weddings and vacation villa stays. Kapolei is home to offices, schools and growing neighborhoods. We bartend for both.
If you’re getting married near the lagoons or renting a villa for a family reunion, we’ll build a bar that looks good in photos and runs smoothly from the ceremony toast through the reception. If you’re throwing a graduation party in a Kapolei backyard or a holiday party for your office, we’ll size the bar to your crowd and keep it simple.

What’s different about a west side bar
Sun and heat
The leeward side is sunny and dry, and that’s hard on ice. We size ice to your guests, hours and drinks, and on hot afternoons we lean toward more. A 10 x 10 tent ($100) gives the bar shade.
Resort and venue rules
Resorts and hotels often run their own bars and may not allow outside alcohol or outside bartenders. Private villas and rental homes have their own rules too. Check with your venue first and tell us what they allow.
The drive out
H-1 traffic heading west can be slow, especially on weekday afternoons. We plan our drive around it, and bartenders arrive 60 to 90 minutes before service to set up.
Sunset timing
West side sunsets are the main event. Tell us your ceremony time and we’ll have drinks ready for the toast, so nobody misses the view waiting in line.
How it works
Your bar, set up and stocked
For a hosted bar, you bring the alcohol. We pour on your behalf. We’ll send a shopping list sized to your guest count, so a destination couple can pick everything up once and be done.
We bring the bar tools, a 6-ft bar table with black or white linen, and your first cooler. Add ice ($24 per 40 lb bag, 4-bag minimum), cups, mixers, juice and garnish from our add-ons, and add a second bar for $150 if your guest list is big.

Is there a travel fee to Ko Olina or Kapolei?
A travel fee may apply. We charge travel only for events more than about 10 miles from our central Honolulu starting point. The calculator figures it out from your event’s location when you get a quote.
Can you bartend at a resort?
It depends on the resort. Many hotels require you to use their own bar service. Private villas and vacation homes are often more flexible. Ask your venue, and we’ll work within whatever they allow.
Do you do corporate events in Kapolei?
Yes. Holiday parties, pau hana, grand openings and team events. We can send a certificate of insurance naming your company or venue for $150. See corporate events.
How far ahead should we book a west side wedding?
For weddings, we recommend booking 6 to 12 months ahead. A 30% deposit holds your date, and the balance is due 7 days before your event. See pricing.
